Aproveitando o tema da próxima edição do Parlamento dos Jovens do 3.º Ciclo, "Alterações climáticas/Salvar os oceanos", o Clube Europeu lança-te um desafio para apresentares as tuas ideias e exemplos de medidas para ajudar a "salvar os oceanos". Em janeiro levaremos a cabo uma iniciativa, em colaboração com o Clube Eco-Escolas, para recolhermos os teus contributos.

Having in mind the theme of the next edition of the Youth Parliament for 3rd Cycle students, "Climate change/Saving the oceans", the Europe Club challenges you to present your ideas and recommendations to help "save the oceans". In January, the Europe Club along with the Eco-School Club will promote an inictiative to collect your suggestions.

Visita de estudo à Casa do Território em Famalicão | School trip to "Casa do Território" in Famalicao

Esta visita de estudo complementou a apresentação anterior da Dra. Felisbela Leite sobre a história da fixação de população e a evolução das povoações no passado no concelho de Vila Nova de Famalicão. A visita à reserva do Gabinete de Arqueologia permitiu a observação in loco de objetos arqueológicos encontrados na região de Famalicão.

A observação destes testemunhos físicos ajuda, sem dúvida, a conhecer melhor e a enquadrar a forma como, ao longo da história, as populações que habitaram o território do concelho viveram, se organizaram e foram encontrando soluções para garantir a sobrevivência e o bem-estar de quem lá viveu. Por tudo isto, esta atividade foi mais um contributo para a reflexão a que somos convidados com o Projeto Erasmus+ i-City. 

This school trip complemented the previous session about the evolution of human settlements throughout the millenia in the county of Vila Nova de Famalicão by the archaeologist Felisbela Leite. The visit to the Archaeology Office allowed students to observe artifacts found in the county's territory in loco.

The observation of this physical evidence helps, without a doubt, to better understand and contextualize how people inhabited the territory throughout history - i.e., how they lived, how they organized themselves and how they found solutions to guarantee the survival and well-being of those who lived there. Therefore, this initiative was one more contribution to foster the reflection we are invited to with the Erasmus+ i-City Project.

Preparação da Fase 1 do Projeto i-City: "passado-presente-futuro" | Preparing Phase 1 of i-City Project : "past-present-future"

Em mais uma etapa da preparação da Fase 1 do Projeto Erasmus+ i-City, o Clube Europeu AEG convidou a arqueóloga Felisbela Leite para vir à nossa escola e partilhar informação sobre a fixação da população e a evolução das povoações no concelho de Vila Nova de Famalicão com os alunos do 9.º ano e os membros do Clube.

A apresentação levou os presentes numa viagem que teve início cerca do terceiro milénio A.C., atravessando o período da ocupação pelos Romanos até próximo do início da Idade Média. Não foi difícil compreender que o que define as necessidades dos humanos ao longo das eras é na sua essência universal e intemporal, sendo por isso fácil traçar linhas de reflexão que ligam o passado ao presente e ao futuro.

Undertaking one more stage in order to prepare Phase 1 of Erasmus+ i-City Project, the Europe Club invited the archaeologist Felisbela Leite to come to our school and share information about the evolution of human settlements throughout the millennia in the county of Vila Nova de Famalicão with our Year 9 students and the members of the Club.

The presentation took the audience in a journey which started around 3,000 BC, went through the Roman occupation period, and finished close to the beginning of the Middle Ages. It became easy to grasp the notion that what defines human needs throughout the ages is in its essence universal and timeless. Therefore, drawing a path of reflection that connects the past to the present and the future is seemingly effortless.
