Projeto i-City - Passagem de Informação Sobre Design Urbano | Project i-City - Cascading Learning About City Design

O dia 23 foi o dia escolhido para que cinco membros do Clube Europeu fossem à EB1 de Outiz apresentar o Projeto Erasmus+ i-City à turma do 4.º ano. Os alunos mais pequenos estavam ansiosos por ouvir as experiências dos colegas mais crescidos, que já participaram em intercâmbios deste projeto, e acompanharam com entusiasmo e interesse a sua apresentação. Para o 4.º ano, o próximo passo é deixar a criatividade e a imaginação fluírem e criarem eles próprios a sua cidade para o futuro.

The 23rd was the day chosen for five members of the Europe Club to go to a primary school in Outiz and present the Erasmus+ Project i-City to 4th graders. The younger students were anxious to hear about the experiences of older mates who have already taken part in international meetings and heard their presentation with enthusiasm and interest. For the 4th grade class, the next step is to let their creativity and imagination flow and create their own city for the future.

Clube Europeu Promove Separação do Lixo! | Europe Club Promotes Waste Sorting!

Como parte da microintervenção de caráter ambiental a ser desenvolvida no âmbito do Projeto Erasmus+ i-City, os membros do Clube Europeu AEG, com a colaboração do Clube Eco-Escolas, estão a desenvolver um plano de ação para melhorar os hábitos de separação do lixo dos alunos e professores deste agrupamento de escolas.

O plano consiste em quatro fases: 1.ª - Pesagem pré-estratégia de intervenção do papel e do plástico separados em todos os espaços interiores da escola sede e respetivo registo durante quatro semanas; 2.ª - Implementação de uma estratégia de sensibilização para a separação do papel e do plástico; 3.ª - Pesagem  pós-estratégia de intervenção do papel e do plástico separados em todos os espaços interiores da escola sede e respetivo registo durante quatro semanas; 4.ª - Tratamento dos dados recolhidos e apresentação de conclusões.

Em breve publicaremos informação sobre os dados recolhidos, impacto e conclusões.

The Europe Club, co-working with the Eco-Schools Club, is implementing a microintervention to promote waste sorting in our school and improve both students and teachers' eco-friendly habits.

The plan consists of four phases: 1st - Pre-intervention weighing of sorted paper and plastic in all school's rooms for four weeks; 2nd - A strategy to sensitize school's community for waste sorting in its facilities; 3rd - Post-intervention weighing of sorted paper and plastic in all school's rooms for another four weeks; 4th - Collating data and drawing conclusions.

Soon we will publish information concerning collected data, the microinterventions impact and conclusions.

Palestra sobre Migrações e Desenvolvimento | A Lecture on Migration and Development

No passado dia 4 de outubro, complementando a exposição itinerante sobre o mesmo tema, tivemos a honra de ser visitados pela Dr.ª Eugénia Quaresma, Diretora da Obra Católica Portuguesa de Migrações, e de a ouvir falar e fazer-nos refletir sobre "Migrações e Desenvolvimento".

A Dr.ª Eugénia Quaresma centrou a sua apresentação em torno de quatro palavras-chave: ACOLHER, PROTEGER, PROMOVER e INCLUIR/INTEGRAR. Estas ações são essenciais para dar um final feliz a muitas histórias de vida de (i)migrantes.

Last 4th October we were honoured with the presence of Eugénia Quaresma, Director of the Portuguese Catholic Work for Migration, who delivered a presentaion on "Migration and Development". This complemented the information provided by the travelling exhibition on the same subject.

The presentation highlighted four key words: WELCOME, PROTECT, PROMOTE, and INTEGRATE. These four actions are essential to give a happy ending to many (im)migrants life stories.
